Project Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main objective of the WARIFA project is to develop an artificial intelligence-based tool for the prevention of the following chronic diseases: Type 1 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, melanoma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This project embraces digital health to generate personalized recommendations for preventing the main risk factors associated with these diseases, as well as promoting healthier lifestyles among citizens.<\/p>\n

Through an artificial intelligence-based system, citizens and patients will receive personalized recommendations to help improve risk factors in their lifestyle, such as excessive sun exposure, unhealthy diet, harmful alcohol and tobacco consumption, and physical inactivity. The digital tool will be available to citizens via a smartphone app that will automatically integrate both the data generated by users and that stored in a central system, in order to offer a personalized set of recommendations according to each individual\u2019s risk levels.<\/p>\n

WARIFA will thus contribute to health promotion and prevention efforts, helping to alleviate the burden on healthcare systems. With the development of this early risk factor assessment tool for chronic diseases, WARIFA will also encourage healthier lifestyles among citizens.<\/p>\n
