{"id":13082,"date":"2026-05-21T14:08:59","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T14:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sescs.es\/?p=13082"},"modified":"2026-05-21T14:09:39","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T14:09:39","slug":"i-meeting-serenapp-project-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sescs.es\/en\/i-meeting-serenapp-project-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"First Meeting of the SerenApp Project at the Hospital Universitario Costa del Sol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"107\" data-end=\"338\">Researchers from the Service for the Evaluation of the Canary Islands Health Service (SESCS) participated last week in the First Meeting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/serenapp-avanza-en-el-desarrollo-de-una-intervencion-digital-de-apoyo-psicologico-para-mujeres-supervivientes-de-cancer-de-mama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#SerenApp<\/a> Project, held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/hcs.es\/web\/page.cfm?id=460\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hospital Universitario Costa del Sol (Marbella, M\u00e1laga)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"579\">During the working sessions, the team made progress in defining the content, structure, and functional requirements of <a href=\"https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/serenapp-avanza-en-el-desarrollo-de-una-intervencion-digital-de-apoyo-psicologico-para-mujeres-supervivientes-de-cancer-de-mama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#SerenApp<\/a>, an application aimed at supporting the emotional well-being and recovery of women survivors of breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"818\">The meeting enabled joint work on different app modules related to emotional management, self-esteem, psychological coping, recovery, and other digital support resources, as well as defining next steps for the development of the project.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1123\">On behalf of SESCS, the participating researchers were <a href=\"https:\/\/sescs.es\/vanesa-ramos-garcia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vanesa Ramos Garc\u00eda<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sescs.es\/yolanda-alvarez-perez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yolanda \u00c1lvarez D\u00edaz<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/sescs.es\/andrea-duarte-diaz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrea Duarte D\u00edaz<\/a>, together with the principal investigator of the project, Irene Zarco Pedrinaci, and the co-investigator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/esperanza-varela-moreno-6665a2a7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esperanza Varela Moreno<\/a>, as well as other members of the unit and the project.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1283\">Project funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciencia.gob.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isciii.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlos III Health Institute<\/a> (Ref. PI24\/01193) and co-funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/european-union.europa.eu\/index_es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European
