The XI Jornadas RedETS 2024 has been an exceptional event for Health Technology Assessment. Over the past days, the Evaluation Service of the Canary Islands Health Service (SESCS) actively participated in workshops, discussion panels, and presentations, sharing knowledge and reflecting on key topics such as gender in HTA, the environmental dimension, and ethical challenges in the digital era.
The event kicked off with an inspiring workshop on Gender in Health Technology Assessment and the Development of Clinical Practice Guidelines, setting the stage for content-packed sessions.
Key contributions from SESCS included:
🗣️ Renata Linertová, presenting the results of the FORM-EE project on how to communicate economic evaluations to non-technical audiences.
🌍 Estefanía Herrera Ramos, showcasing a decision-making algorithm to incorporate the environmental dimension into health technology assessment.
Additionally, our Head, Lilisbeth Perestelo Pérez, moderated a crucial panel discussion on ethics and consent in the data era, a fundamental topic in today’s context.
